Meet Our Pastors
Rev. Anna Lawton
Rev. Anna Lawton became a follower of Jesus Christ and received God’s call to full-time ministry while in graduate school as an international student. After graduate school, she studied at Bethel Seminary-San Diego and Palmer Theological Seminary, and she completed a Master of Theological Studies degree in 2009.
As a beloved child of God, her passion is to proclaim God’s grace in transforming sinners into the glorious likeness of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and for the glory of God.
Anna has been serving as the Mandarin-speaking pastor at EFC Philadelphia since 2010. She is married to Jeff Lawton, who serves in the English ministry of the church. Anna and Jeff have one son, Christopher.
In her free time, Anna enjoys hiking, long walks, canoeing, singing praises, and reading lots of books.
Rev. Daniel Au
Rev. Daniel Au has been serving in the Philadelphia area since 1998 and has been pastoring at EFC Philadelphia since September 2015 with a focus on English-speaking ministries.
His original intention was to become a medical missionary, completing his undergraduate work at Northwestern University and later his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School. The Lord led him to study at seminary at Westminster Theological Seminary before starting his internship, and it was during this time that he followed God’s call to full time ministry stateside, completing his theological degree, and pastoring in local Chinese churches in the Philadelphia area. From caring for the human body to caring for the body of Christ, he enjoys seeing Jesus Christ working in the lives of those he serves. His interests include Asian-American issues and matters of faith, missions, and family ministry involving all generations and cultures.
In his free time he enjoys making music and singing with his wife, Kiyo, cooking for loved ones, and taking lots of photos with his phone. Kiyo and Dan have one daughter, Megumi, and the languages heard within their home include English, Japanese, Taiwanese, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, which keeps things very lively.
